Ice Cream From the Great Wall

Although the exact origins of ice cream are not known and cannot be documented, historians believe it can be traced back at least 4000 years to China. Around 3,000 years ago, the Emperors of China are believed to have enjoyed frozen delicacies made from snow and ice flavored with fruit, wine and honey. Over time, recipes for ices, sherbets, and milk ices evolved and served in the fashionable Italian and French royal courts.
